Who are We ?

Kaushik Welfare Organization was founded in 2012 in remembrance of Late. Kaushik Deb who was a Software Engineer working in USA. He left us in the on 11th May 2008 due to a tragic road accident in USA.

KWO is non-governmental organization (NGO) that was founded in 2012 to provide microfinance services to women in rural, semi-urban, and urban areas of West Bengal, India. The organization's mission is to create opportunities for the distressed, disadvantaged, and deprived segments of society, with a primary focus on women.

KWO offers a variety of microfinance products, including loans for income-generating activities, insurance coverage, and training and support services. The organisations loans are well-researched, adequately designed, and priced, and they have a strong focus on financial sustainability. KWO also has a robust system and processes, high efficiency and productivity levels, good asset quality, and an adequately capitalised fund for microfinance activities.

The organization's clients are 100% women, and they operate small businesses, work on small farms, or work for themselves or others in a variety of businesses, such as fishing, carpentry, vegetable selling, small shops, transportation, food processing, weaving, beauty parlors, and agriculture and allied activities. The loans are used for both start-up and financing of existing project activities.
